Short Story Competition 2021 - The winning entry is now online as a blog

The wait is finally over, heavyweight historian and best-selling author Robert Harris has  taken time out from writing his latest blockbuster to judge our Short Story Competition. 

Robert Harris is a former journalist and BBC reporter who has now become one of Britain's most renowned prize winning authors, having written 14 heavy weight, historical fiction, best sellers.

The competition this year was open to all students up to current Year 11.  The parameter was to write a short story of no more than 1200 words on any setting and genre. It could have been comic or tragic, period or sci-fi - all we asked was that it was your best! 

The judges, presided over by Robert Harris, have personally chosen a winner and 2 runners up. 

1st place has been awarded to

Clara Luke

The two runners up are

Aditya Pillai and Elsie Hayward

The entries this year were outstanding, if you submitted a story you should be proud of yourself.
